A well-designed broadcast grid is essential to ensure clear, effective on-screen communication. It allows content to be organized and segmented within a screen, making information easier to read, understand and absorb. We also design content animations and transitions so that elements appear dynamically, smoothly and in a visually engaging way.

An effective broadcast grid starts with a deep understanding of the client’s needs and the audience viewing the screen. Content must be presented with a clear intent: to inform, guide, promote or support decision-making — at the right moment.

Poor grid design can negatively impact the user experience. For example, displaying promotional ads when viewers are primarily looking for essential information, such as a menu, creates confusion and reduces the effectiveness of the screen's primary function. A grid should always support the primary goal of the space and its users.

The broadcast grid is designed after the screen has been selected, so it can adapt to the display format and layout constraints. However, it should be defined before choosing the player, since the player’s hardware capabilities will influence how the content can be displayed.

The grid is then integrated into a content loop, typically between 10 seconds and 2 minutes, where content appears in a logical and well-paced sequence. This design process helps determine the most appropriate player and hardware capabilities for the project.
